Mabel’s father and mother brought the family from St. Croix County, Wisconsin to Manfred, North Dakota in 1904 when Mabel was 9 years old. She received her education in the area, and by 1920 had moved to Dickinson, ND. Mabel was an elementary school teacher. She lived in Washington state as well as Oregon, where she passed away in 1972. She did not marry. She is buried at the Vang Cemetery north of Manfred.
