John and Delores Wolf lived in Manfred from 1956 until 1965. John worked for the railroad. They lived in the house in Le Grande Addition, which was later purchased and occupied by Roy and Lucille Fandrich and family. 

 

Obituary:

 

Delores Mae Suydam was born Nov. 9, 1927, in New Rockford, ND. She grew up and attended school in Barlow, N.D., and Bordulac, ND. She graduated from Bordulac High School in 1944. On July 1, 1947, she married John A. Wolf in Carrington. They lived in Bordulac, ND, Manfred, ND, and Wyndmere, ND before returning to Bordulac. In 1994, they moved to Kensal. She lived for a time at Holy Family Villa, Carrington. She entered the nursing home in November. John preceded her in death.

 

She is survived by four sons, Richard, Minot, N.D., John (Bobbie), East Stroudsburg, Pa., Paul (Colette), Kensal, Kenneth (Kathy), Cavalier, N.D.; three daughters, Rita (Ron) Harris, Valley City, ND, Mary (LeRoy) Eberhart, Eau Claire, Wis., Bonnie (Wes) Holm, Apex, N.C.; two brothers, Jerry (Elaine) Ferguson, Carrington, Harry (Patsy) Ferguson, Rugby, ND; a sister, Marlene (Haakon) Ekren, Kensal; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

 

Burial: St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Kensal, ND.

 

Oldest daughter Rita Harris passed away in 2012.
