Manfred News - 27 Feb 1914 Last Thursday it was rumored that we should have another wedding soon and on Friday morning at Harvey Joe Biever and Katie Earle were married and they returned here on Train 106 the same day. Joe set up cigars to everyone. Mr. Biever is proprietor of Manfred's only hotel and his bride is also well known here. They have the best wishes of all for a happy life.

G. D. Fisher building housing Joe Biever's Machinery Business was destroyed - the outer walls of the J. G Renden blacksmith shop next to the implement shop were badly burned.
Joe and Kate Biever lived in Fessenden, where he had a Texaco station and Firestone Tire Store.
In his retirement years Joe had a store near the school which sold candy and school supplies.The 1961 Fessenden High School Annual was dedicated to Joe. He was a friend to all the students.
