Anton was the youngest brother of early resident Stener Aasand. 

 

Anton and Emma operated general stores in Manfred and in Harvey.  They owned a grocery and clothing store formerly owned by L. O. Burkum. The building later became the Sons of Norway Hall. 

​

In 1934, they moved to Detroit Lakes, MN and in 1944 they moved to McHenry, ND where they operated a general store.  Anton died on July 15, 1975. His wife Emma died on June 2, 1985 in New Rockford,  ND.
